could have influenced the results, as participants of telemonitoring agreed to take part in this innovative strategy. Although findings from the focus groups were seemingly consistent, the results are not statistically powered. This study uses qualitative methods and thus provides mainly descriptive data that cannot be generalized widely. Compared to the experiences of hospital admission in high risk pregnancy, it allows women to be in a private and comforting environment during an anxious time in their lives. As future studies should further investigate the safety and cost effectiveness of this innovative strategy, women’s views on the preference of telemonitoring need to be taken into consideration.
