78 Chapter 3 TASK 9: Bending of the trunk Equipment: - A measuring tape Outcome measures: - Distance to floor (cm) - Perceived task difficulty (VAS scale) - Discomfort (VAS scale) Protocol: The subject starts in upright standing position. The test starts with bending the trunk and the hips to reach down as far as possible, keeping the knees fully extended. The lowest position should be held for 3 seconds, then the subject returns to starting position. Instructions to subjects: Bend down and reach as far as possible (show the movement). Hold this position for three seconds and straighten up. Make sure you do not bend the knees (correct during the test if needed).
