One study only included female participants [33]. When gender is reported in studies, control groups are matched on or comparable to the sex of the TL groups. Fourteen studies [27, 32–34, 34, 37, 38, 40–42, 44, 45, 49, 52] reported acoustic outcomes; nine studies [30, 31, 36, 40, 41, 43, 46, 48, 54] reported perceptual outcomes; and eight studies [30, 39, 41, 43, 47, 49, 50, 53] reported PROs. Four studies [30, 40, 41, 43] reported a combination of outcome measures.
