73 Variation in immediate breast reconstruction CONCLUSION In conclusion, we found large variation between hospitals in IBR after mastectomy for invasive breast cancer and DCIS. Several factors (e.g., age, tumor status, grade, and receptor status) could be identified as predictive factors but did not exclusively explain the variation between hospitals. Further research is needed to investigate other causes such as patient and surgeon’s preferences and hospital-related factors and to increase the percentage of IBR in all eligible patients. 4
