Mid-buccal mucosa level changes Twenty study groups reported changes in mid-buccal mucosa level, viz., 12 in the PS- conical group, 3 in the PS-parallel group, and 5 in the PM-parallel connection group. The groups’ pooled mid-buccal mucosa level change per year was 0.05 mm (95%CI: 0.01 to 0.08), composed of 0.04 mm (95%CI: -0.02 to 0.09) in the PS-conical group, 0.08 mm (95%CI: 0.05 to 0.12) in the PS-parallel group, and 0.04 mm (95%CI: -0.08 to 0.16) in the PM-parallel group. A meta-regression analysis revealed no statistically significant difference between the three groups. Forest plots of the random effects meta-analysis are depicted in supplementary figure 5 . 7
