From this 10-year randomized controlled trial on single tooth replacement with implant restorations in the aesthetic region can be concluded that no relevant differences with respect to clinical, radiographic, aesthetic and patient centred outcomes could be observed. If a bone augmentation is needed, professionals can consider factors as morbidity, costs and treatment time for each individual patient, without having impact on the outcome. 2
