Facilitating and motivating factors for reporting reprehensible conduct 93 4 RESULTS Sociodemographic characteristics An overview of the sociodemographic characteristics of the respondents is presented in Table 1. The average age of the respondents was 45.2 (± 9.1). The majority (70.3%) of the recruited sample were women. Less than half (46.5%) of the 155 respondents reported being religious, and 13.5% indicated a tendency to vote for a conservative political party. The results nevertheless did not reveal any statistically significant association ( χ 2 =3,991, df =1, p =0.06) between religiosity and political preference. With respect to working environment, most (72.9%) of the respondents were employed in hospitals, with a smaller share (14%) working in family medicine (general practice) and the rest working either in mental healthcare (5.8%), care for people with mental disabilities (1.3%), or elsewhere (12.9%).
