Chapter 3 56 Mplus) to account for missing values and potential deviations from multivariate normality. The fit of the models was assessed by the following fit indices: χ 2 , CFI (comparative fit index, with a cut-off value of .95), and RMSEA (root mean square error of approximation, with a cut-off value of .06; (Hu & Bentler, 1999). RESULTS Descriptive Statistics Means and standard deviations of all model items are reported in Table 3.1. Regarding participants’ behaviors, findings revealed that the average fruit consumption per day ranged between 1.63 and 1.74 units across all waves; the average vegetable consumption per day ranged between .98 and 1.06 units. On average, the participants’ reported water consumption to be between 2.47 and 3.04 glasses of water per day across all waves.
