17 GENERAL INTRODUCTION 1 In Chapter 5, the long term effectiveness of MI Paste Plus ® as a remineralizing agent was analysed over time, for a period of 12 months, by assessing several outcome measures: 1. QLF Imaging, 2. conventional microbiology, 3. measuring acidogenicity of plaque by capillary ion analysis (CIA), and 4. assessing ICDAS-scores on clinical photographs.
