1 General introduction and Scope of this Thesis | 25 studies provide a clear rationale to clinically explore UCB-NK cells as a generally applicable immunotherapeutic NK cell platform for solid tumors. In Chapter 6 we discuss various therapeutic approaches that have the capacity to enhance NK cell-based cancer immunotherapy against solid tumors, focusing on the potential of promising lead products from various NK cell biotech industries and main findings from this thesis are summarized in Chapter 7.
