More research is needed to evaluate underlying mechanisms of these FDM problems and the daily life consequences of the observed difficulties with FDM in adults with ADHD. This knowledge may help in developing treatment approaches which may be offered to adults with ADHD to allow them a living in a more financially secure and less stressful situation.
