Dorien Bangma

CURRICULUM VITAE | 283 Dorien Frederike Bangma was born on June 2, 1989, in Hengelo, the Netherlands. In 2007, she completed her secondary education at Twickel college in Hengelo. In the same year, she started with the propaedeutically year of Life Science and Technology at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (currently Science and Engineering) at the University of Groningen. In 2008, she started studying Psychology at the Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences at the same university. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2012 and her Master’s degree in Clinical Neuropsychology in 2013. After her graduation she worked a few months as a research assistant under supervision of dr. Janneke Koerts. From 2013 till 2020 she worked at the department of Clinical and Developmental Neuropsychology at the University of Groningen. In this period, she performed scientific research on financial decision-making as an external PhD student under supervision of prof. dr. Oliver Tucha, dr. Janneke Koerts and dr. Lara Tucha. She conducted this research in her own time, next to her work as a teacher at the same department. She taught and supervised students of both the bachelor Psychology and master track Clinical Neuropsychology from 2013 till 2019. Additionally, between 2016 and 2018, she worked as a researcher for two independent subsidised studies. She was able to present her research at several national and international conferences and has received a travel grant and an award for the best poster (see also list of publications). In 2020, Dorien started as a researcher and teacher at the faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Amsterdam.
