114 C H A P T E R 7 RESULTS A total of 8,015 people visited our gender identity clinic between 1972 and 2017 for either psychological, endocrine, or surgical treatment. After applying the in- and exclusion criteria, 3,026 trans women were included in the study cohort (Figure 1).
