307 Predictors of early intolerance to low-dose colchicine in patients with coronary disease CONCLUSION Intolerance for low-dose colchicine was seen in approximate one of every eleven patientswith coronarydisease andmost often encompassed gastro-intestinal upset, myalgia or fatigue. Female sex was independently associated with increased odds for intolerance. We observed no association with CYP3A4 isoenzyme inhibiting statins and any intolerance, but did notice higher odds for myalgia in patients using rosuvastatin and lower odds for myalgia in patients using simvastatin. Information of perceived side effects may contribute to compliance of colchicine, which is of particular relevance with the anticipated increase in prescription of the drug in cardiovascular disease.
