Chapter 6 124 CONCLUSION Symptom burden and information needs in the palliative phase are related. However, patients often also have information needs in other domains of palliative care. The use of a conversation guide comprising a symptom assessment scale and a question prompt list can identify patient concerns about current and future symptoms and thus support tailoring of consultations and appropriate care.
