Changes in depression symptom profile with gender-affirming hormone use in transgender persons 101 3.4. Baseline IDS-SR scores for missing participants at 3- and 12-month follow ups Due to the ongoing character of the study and loss to follow-up, the sample sizes after baseline are lower. Scores were compared using the nonparametric Mann-Whitney U test. In Supplementary Table S3.5, we describe the IDS-SR baseline scores stratified by participation in follow-ups and the participation rates per measurement time point and group (i.e. how many participants completed the follow-up questionnaire). IDS-SR baseline scores of participants who participated in the 3- or 12-month follow-ups compared to those missing at follow ups were not different in the TM group at the 3-month follow-up (p=0.91) or 12-month follow-up (p=0.96), nor in the TF group at the 3-month follow-up (p=0.60) or 12-month follow-up (p=0.19).
