262 Curriculum Vitae Curriculum Vitae Sonja Annette Kuipers was born in 1970 in Groningen, the Netherlands. Sonja is married to Peter Knot and has three children: Thijs (1998), Lars (2000), and Joost (2006). She obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing in 1996 at NHL University of Applied Sciences in Leeuwarden. In 2013, she finalized the Master Social Work at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen. Subsequently, she graduated at the Master of Health and Social Care (with commendation) at the Birmingham City University in the United Kingdom in 2014. She then pursued her research interest by starting a PhD programme at the University of Groningen and NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences in 2017 on the project: oral health nursing in patients with a psychotic disorder. The efforts of this project resulted in the research work presented in this thesis. Prior and parallel to her studies and research, she worked as a nurse with several patient groups and organizations. Since 2013, she works as lecturer at Bachelor of Nursing of the NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences in Leeuwarden.
