Data from five subjects were excluded from the analysis due to insufficient quality of the hyperinsulinemic-clamp and data from three subjects were excluded due to insufficient quality of the HVR. Table 5.1 on page 106 summarizes baseline demographics and patient characteristics. Mean fasting glucose levels were higher in T2DM individuals compared to HC (8.6±0.8vs. 5.4±0.2mmol.L-1).
