Chapter 8 264 characteristics. Phase one of the coaching trajectory was aimed at resolving crisis situations (see Setting), providing less opportunity to inform potential participants about the study. Therefore, participants were asked to fill in the baseline questionnaire within the first three weeks of the coaching trajectory, and the follow up questionnaire upon completion of the coaching trajectory (on average after 8 months, which differed per person). The following sociodemographic and socioeconomic personal characteristics were assessed: gender, age (in years), weight (kg), height (cm), marital status (married; divorced; widowed; unmarried), number of children living at home, educational status of the participant (International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED) 0-2; 3-4; 5-7), and occupational status (full-time employment; part-time employment; unemployed; unfit for work). Regarding health and health behaviour, self-reported health was measured using a single question (How is your health in general? Excellent; very good; good; fair; poor). Alcohol consumption was assessed asking self-reported frequency, quantity and type of alcohol consumed. Smoking behaviour was assessed using time to first cigarette (TTFS) and cigarettes per day (CPD).10 Finally, intention to change behaviour was assessed as outcome measure. Intention to decrease alcohol consumption, intention to quit smoking and intention to increase fruit and vegetable intake were assessed using the following question: Are you planning to change in behaviour within the next 6 months?” Respondents answered this question on a five-point Likert scale: very unlikely; unlikely; maybe, maybe not; likely; very likely.11 Analysis Median time between creating a user account in the app and a goal was calculated as an indicator of perceived importance among participants; goals created directly after one had access to the app were deemed most important. As a second approach to evaluate importance, the goals were grouped by order they were created per participant (e.g., all first goals together, all second goals etc.) and per group the proportion of words for each GrowthField was assessed. For both the goals itself and the individual words used to formulate goals, steps and plans the frequency of occurrence was calculated and trends over time were assessed using Tidytext version 0.3.2.12
