Shannon van Hoorn

260 Addendum ABOUT THE AUTHOR Shannon van Hoorn, 26th of January 1993, was born and raised in Utrecht, The Netherlands. After finishing secondary school (2011), she moved to Enschede and started with the bachelor Health Sciences at the University of Twente (2014). After obtaining her bachelor degree, she went on to attempt the master Management, Policy Analysis and Entrepreneurship in Health & Life Sciences at the VU Amsterdam. This attempt was unsuccessful when it became clear that this master was not able to help her in further developing her knowledge and skills. She therefore went back to the University of Twente to pursue a master degree in Health Sciences with a specialization in the optimization of healthcare processes. Facilitated by the University of Twente, she furthered her knowledge on process optimization by obtaining her lean green belt. After starting her master degree in Health Sciences, she also started to pursue a master in Business Administration with a specialization in purchasing and supply management. During this master program, she got the opportunity to receive additional training on negotiation and went on to become a founding board member of the Negotiation Project Twente (2018-2019). She finished her master in Business Administration cum laude in 2019. After also successfully completing her master in Health Sciences, Shannon worked at the Service Department of the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek hospital. Here she worked for six months as a project employee and project leader. In May 2020 she started her PhD project within the SYMPHONY consortium at the Department of Public Health of the Erasmus MC under the supervision of dr. Samantha Gouw, prof. dr. Marjon Cnossen and prof. dr. Hester Lingsma which resulted in this thesis.
