Acknowledgements 199 Isra, I also want to thank you specifically. As a PhD candidate, you often stand alone. However, I have been fortunate to have had you by my side for the majority of the time. Even though we were mostly in our own bubbles, it never felt that way. It was always a pleasure to run into you at one of the many events, leading to lengthy catch-up sessions that caused us to neglect important networking opportunities. I really enjoyed working together on our guide. We had to get used to each other’s way of working in the beginning, but eventually, we were always on the same page and became a welloiled machine. Besides being a wonderful colleague, you were also a supportive friend throughout the ups and downs of the PhD journey, always kind and open-hearted, which made the journey much more bearable overall. I would also like to thank my fellow PhD students, Studiolab members, and colleagues at the IDE faculty for creating a stimulating and supportive environment. I am particularly grateful to those I had the pleasure of meeting weekly during our design for health motivation meetings: Timothy, Sara, Dajung, Sam, Noa, David. It was, and still is, a joy to be part of such a friendly, supportive, and welcoming group. The people from Erasmus MC, on the 16th floor, and downstairs. I want to thank you for welcoming me to your department. Even though I was an external PhD, you always made me feel welcome, whether it was for the inspiring scientific meetings or cozy Sinterklaas gatherings, conferences, or treasure hunts. I have learned a lot from you as a discipline and have benefited greatly from your feedback. I hope I have been able to teach you something about design as well. My gratitude is particularly great towards the people of Capri. I consider myself lucky to have been able to conduct research within a healthcare organization that is so welcoming, friendly, enthusiastic, and receptive to innovation. For this, I want to first and foremost thank the board, Niek, Madoka, and Danielle, thank you for making this research possible and for being open to new ideas and this new way of conducting research. But of course, also for the invitations to the enjoyable gatherings and BBQs. But what also makes Capri Capri are its practitioners, Chantal, Marije, Joke, Mariette, Tamara, Jaleesa, Elly, Marga, Keshia, Connie, Fabian. Not only are you always there for the patients, but also for me. The challenge with an iterative design process is that I kept coming back to you time and time again. Whether for an interview, a focus group, recruiting participants, or movie production. The latter not always easy for everyone. Yet, each time you were enthusiastic and engaged, providing invaluable suggestions. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have worked with you, and Capri should be proud to have you on board.
