Differences in professional backgrounds, training and perspectives may pose challenges to effective collaboration and decisionmaking. Interdisciplinary collaboration between doctors, midwives, nurses and other stakeholders is essential for successful implementation of MLCC. Healthcare providers with an understanding of the roles, responsibilities, and expertise of colleagues from different disciplines, can better appreciate the unique contributions each profession brings to patient care. This understanding fosters mutual respect, trust, and communication among team members, facilitating collaboration and coordination of care under MLCC. More effective collaboration to tailor care plans to individual patient needs, preferences, and circumstances.
